It's nine at night and someone just found your salon on Google. They want to know if you take walk-ins Saturday. You're making dinner, your phone is in another room, and by the time you see the missed call in the morning, they already booked with the place three doors down.
A small business website with AI chat is built to catch that exact moment. The chat on your site, and on Instagram, WhatsApp or Telegram, answers the question right then, and you get the lead on your phone a few minutes later instead of losing it overnight.
What is a small business website with AI chat?
It's a regular website for your business, salon, clinic, realtor, lawyer, fitness studio, with one difference: the chat bubble isn't a dead end. It's an AI receptionist that talks to whoever lands there, finds out what they need, and gets you the details so you can follow up.
The same AI answers in your site chat and in Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram, so visitors can reach you however they already message.
How fast can you actually get one live?
We build these from ready templates, so the first version is usually live in three days, not three weeks. The process is short on purpose:
- You fill in a short questionnaire about your business: services, hours, prices if you want them quoted, and any rules for the AI to follow.
- You get a preview of the site to look at and ask for changes.
- The site goes live on your own domain.
You can browse the templates at nextlegend.pro/templates/ before you start, so you know roughly what your site will look like.
What templates are available for my business?
We've built from these templates for real businesses already, including a deck builder in Pasadena, a massage spa, a couture atelier, a beauty salon, and a booking business for coaches. The templates cover:
- Salons and beauty businesses
- Clinics
- Realtors
- Lawyers
- Fitness studios
Each one is a starting point built for how that kind of business actually gets asked questions, so you're not starting from a blank page.
How does the AI chat answer visitors and send you a lead card?
When someone opens the chat, the AI asks what they need, when, how soon, and the best way to reach them. It only answers from the information you gave it about your business. If someone asks something it wasn't told, it says a person will follow up and hands the conversation to you instead of guessing. It also never names a price you didn't give it.
Once it has what it needs, it sends you a lead card on your phone, in whichever messenger you use. The card shows the customer's name, what they want, the best time to call them back, how soon they need it, and what to do next.
The AI doesn't book anything into a calendar on its own. You read the card and book the appointment yourself, so you stay in control of your schedule.
This week in AI and marketing
Marketing Week reports a widening gap between how much businesses are experimenting with generative AI and how much of that experimentation is actually driving results. For a small business owner, that's a reason to skip the experimenting phase and start with one AI employee, like a receptionist in your chat, that has a plain, measurable job: answer visitors and hand you a lead. Marketing Week
Harvard Business Review looked at what separates the businesses that get real benefit from AI from the ones that don't, and found it comes down to how deliberately the tool is set up and used. That lines up with how we set up the AI receptionist: you give it your real services, hours and rules during setup, so it's answering as your business, not guessing. Harvard Business Review
What do you need to prepare before launch?
Mainly the same things you'd tell a new front desk hire: your services, your hours, your prices if you want the AI to quote them, and any rules you want it to follow, like what to say about walk-ins or deposits. You hand that over in the questionnaire and the rest is building and previewing.
If you want to see what the build itself includes, our website development page walks through it at nextlegend.pro/services/website-development/.
Every project starts the same way, with a free AI audit. Alena looks at how your business currently answers customers, what Google and ChatGPT already see about you, and which AI employee makes sense to start with.
